Elmo is a Muppet character made a part of the television show Sesame Street. This furry red monster appears in a segment titled ‘Elmo’s World.’ First appearing in 1972 as baby monster before changing to Elmo in 1985, there have been many fun and memorable Elmo quotes captured from his time on Sesame Street.
“I grew up with a very big extended family, with a lot of aunts. We had about five or six houses on one street.”
“I try to take a weekly digital Sabbath, batch my emails so I deal with them a few times a day rather than constantly, and increasingly give myself permission to ignore unsolicited communiques.”
“I try, too, to give others more slack. The respond-now culture is a two-way street. I’m trying to be more mindful of that.”
“If life is fair why does roses have thorns.”
“Let us wage a moral and political war against the billionaires and corporate leaders, on Wall Street and elsewhere, whose policies and greed are destroying the middle class of America.”
“Na na na. na na na, Elmos world!”
“On a good day I think I’m handsome, on an average day I’m average. I’m a man’s man so I don’t necessarily know how cute we’re supposed to be.”
“Some days I think I look kind of cute, but other days I try to avoid the mirror.”
“The best fashion advice I’d say would be just to do what makes you comfortable and what makes you feel cute, and that’s how you’re gonna look your best ’cause when you feel your best, everybody else can feel it, too.”
“The last thing on my mind was to be an actor, but I had a crush on a cute girl in the drama department, so the best thing for me to do was audition, help out, do carpentry, whatever it took to get me on that project.”
“Wall Street is the only place that people ride to in a Rolls Royce to get advice from those who take the subway.”
“Wise sayings often fall on barren ground, but a kind word is never thrown away.”
Here is a song with Elmo the captures the child friendly environment and fun from Sesame Street that Elmo is made a part of.
